Dr. Joanna Claustro joins the Holly Tree Dental team from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her doctorate degree in medical dentistry and gained recognition for her compassion and gentle chair-side manner.  Before beginning her career in dentistry, Joanna graduated suma cum laude from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY and later served as a graphic designer and marketing manager for the Society of Nuclear Medicine in Reston, VA.  Though she enjoyed the creativity in marketing, she wanted a career that would allow her to play a more integral role in the health and well-being of her community.  Joanna is excited to bring her passion for excellence in dentistry to the South Shore.

Joanna is an active member of the American Dental Society, Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Association of Women Dentists. In order to provide her patients with the best care possible, Joanna continues to further her education through CE focusing on the latest technologies and dental methods.  She has volunteered at local YMCA’s and the North Shore Community Health Center in Salem, MA—providing dental education and care to underserved populations. Joanna is also an active participant with the South Shore Young Professional’s Network and the South Shore Women’s Business Network. Outside of dentistry, Joanna spends her free time travelling, cooking and staying active with boxing, yoga and running. She has completed a triathalon and is looking forward to completing her second half-marathon.
